K-LOVE Awards: Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Mandisa, ‘God’s Not Dead’ win big
The second annual K-LOVE Fan Awards at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry honored the top artists in Christian Music, the biggest honor going to Casting Crowns.

Hosted by Candace Cameron Bure and award-winning artist Matthew West, the event named the band from Georgia as Artist of the Year with Chris Tomlin as Male Artist of the Year; Female Artist of the Year: Mandisa; Group/Duo of the Year: Newsboys and theSong of the Year was Mandisa’s “Overcomer.”
Tomlin performed his new single “Your Love is Like a Waterfall” and expressed his appreciation for the award via social media, tweeting, “Thank you @KLOVERadio and all the amazing fans who voted. Honored to be in the room tonite with such beautiful, gifted friends.”
The event was broadcasted live on the K-LOVE radio network, the fan-voted show “celebrated and promoted artists, athletes, authors and entertainers who, with excellence, engage and impact popular culture for Jesus Christ.”
This year’s K-LOVE Fan Awards partnered with World Hope to aid in the revival of the people of Detroit. With every half-million votes cast, World Hope committed to unlock a newly remodeled home for a family in need in the city. With over 2 million votes tallied, four homes will be provided to Detroit-area families.
“Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” by Hillsong United won Worship Song of the Year and TobyMac was honored as the Best Live Show. Impact award winners included Jamie Grace, Carolina Panthers Linebacker Thomas Davis, the film God’s Not Dead; and Max Lucado for his book You’ll Get Through This.
The musical guests included MercyMe, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, and Michael W.Smith, among others.
