‘Justified’ season 6: Walton Goggins on Ava, Boyd and Timothy Olyphant on ‘the end’
Justified season 6 will be the last and Walton Goggins is giving fans some insight into the struggles of Boyd Crowder, how Ava (Joelle Carter) plays into his character’s demise while Timothy Olyphant’s remarks prepare fans for the ultimate climax.
“Love is a complicated thing and it allows you to see things sometimes that you shouldn’t and not see some things that you should,” Goggins says in a new conversation with TV Guide. The star does tease the lines in the sand and how this will erupt in violence.
On Boyd he says: “He’s like the Bush administration right after 9/11: Either you’re with me or you’re against me … This is the heavyweight round, and at the end of it there’s going to be one man standing.”

“We all made studying Elmore (Leonard) a project… And when we veer from the path, we have the cast to keep us honest,” Producer Fred Goland stated while reflecting on the creator’s death and inspiration to the show.
Goggins added, “It takes a village to raise Elmore Leonard on a week-to-week basis.”
“The challenge has always been to move the characters forward. The characters have to drive the story. We’re careful about not using too many bright shiny objects,” conveying some of the hardships the cast and writers had to go through after Leonard’s passing,” Olyphant says per Variety as the panel continued.
“[Leonard’s] focus on professionalism was something I grew to appreciate, for the storytelling and in my own work. I think it made me more disciplined,” further highlighting the impression Leonard left on him.
So, as season six wraps up, Olyphant summarizes Raylan: “Whatever happens next, I’m sure will end with some stupid decision on my part… I think in the end Rayland is a lawman… It would be hard for him to be anything else.”
Justified season six will premiere in early 2015.
