‘Jurassic World’ Super Bowl ad previews Indominus Rex
It will “give parents nightmares” is the message on Indominus Rex from the Jurassic World Super Bowl ad, giving fans some new and exciting footage.
Forbes writes about how excited they regarding the premise of the film: “…it’s not just about the realization of the theoretical theme park that could host scientifically created dinosaurs, but the notion that such a concept would become accepted, normalized, and thus eventually taken for granted.”
Of course, the new star is Indominus Rex, a new creature genetically modified and created by the humans. It stands at a length of 40 feet and most closely resembles the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Its biography on the official Jurassic World website; however, explains that its horns, head structure, and thick, bony skin make it different from the massive predator featured in previous Jurassic Park films.
The Indominus Rex was created by genetic engineers at the Hammond Creation Lab using genes from a variety of dinosaurs, including Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, and Gigantosaurus, we’re told. Its roar rivals the sound of a 747 jet engine taking off, and the creature is able to reach speeds of up to 30 mph while running in its enclosure.
Chris Pratt stars with Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, Ty Simpkins and Omar Sy.
Jurassic World opens in theater on June 12, 2015
