Jude Law confirms ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ being written, want it to be ‘smarter and cleverer’

Sherlock is set to return to BBC One, but fans of the Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law motion pictures are curious if another chapter is coming and Law recently stated that it’s on the way.

Jude Law as Dr Watson Sherlock Holmes photoBustle quotes the Contagion star discussing the progress on the script.

“We had a meeting earlier this year, the three of us, and I think it’s being written now,” Law said. “Warner Bros have still got to agree to pay for it… I think they want to!”

Law, like fans of the franchise, has some expectations as well for a third film.

“We want it to be better than the other two. We want to make sure it’s smarter and cleverer, but in the same realm.”

Producer Dan Lin confirmed earlier this year that Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce had been hired to work on the screenplay.

Ritchie has signed on to direct the third film, and is reportedly keen to base the production in Los Angeles.

Law will next appear alongside Richard E Grant in crime comedy Dom Hemingway
