John Kasich second in New Hampshire but lacks support in South Carolina
John Kasich may have fared well in New Hampshire, finishing second behind Donald Trump, but Kasich appears to have some work to do moving forward.
A CNN South Carolina focus group was asked Tuesday evening if the Ohio governor’s performance in the Granite State won them over — and he didn’t get the response he was probably hoping for.
“Did John Kasich win any of you over tonight?” the CNN reporter asked.
Not one person raised their hand. Check out the video clip below.
Kasich has not polled well in South Carolina, so this should be a surprise, but rather validating what is known.
An NBC/WSJ/Marist Poll has Trump with a big lead over Ted Cruz, 36-20% with Marco Rubio at 14%. No other candidate is over 9% and Kasich only garnered 1%. Full poll details can be read HERE.
A mid-January CBS poll has Trump at 40%, Cruz at 21% with Kasich way back in the pack at 2% – details HERE
