John Bolton says ‘no amnesty’ for Snowden, in fact, Bolton thinks he should be hung
The debate over whether the United States should give National Security Agency “whistleblower” amnesty has basically been answered by White House officials Monday when spokesperson for the National Security Council, Caitlin Hayden said, “Mr. Snowden is accused of leaking classified information and faces felony charges

here in the United States. He should be returned to the U.S. as soon as possible, where he will be accorded full due process and protections.”
This comes around the same time US District Court Judge Richard Leon declared that the bulk phone record collection activities of the National Security Agency (NSA) are likely in violation of the Constitution’s ban on unreasonable search.
Snowden was charged in June on two counts of espionage.
Judge Leon also noted the government didn’t cite a single instance in which the program actually stopped an imminent terrorist attack.
However, talks about amnesty are way out of line, according to former US Ambassador John Bolton who said the following on Fox News Monday, “My view is that Snowden committed treason, he ought to be convicted of that, and then he ought to swing from a tall oak tree.”
The most recent part of the Edward Snowden saga is he said he would be willing to help Brazil’s government investigate American spying on its soil – but only if he is granted political asylum.
