John Bolton beats the war drums for attacking Iran…again

Just a little over a week after former UN ambassador John Bolton called for the “toppling” if the new Hassan Rohani regime in Iran, he told the Jerusalem Post earlier this week that ““Israel should have attacked Iran yesterday”.

“Every day that goes by puts Israel in greater danger, every day Iran makes more progress,” Bolton told the Israeli paper in an interview.

“I can understand why Israel wants us to take action, but the longer Israel waits for something that is not going to happen, the greater the danger Israel is in,” the senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute said.

The Bolton interview comes a day after Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “the Islamic Republic was just 60 kilograms short of crossing his “red line”, a CBS’s Face the Nation.

Netanyahu defines the “red line” as  being the possession of 250 kg. of 20% enriched uranium, enough fissile material for a nuclear bomb. He said they now had 190 kg., up from about 110 six to eight months ago.

“They’re getting closer,” he said. “They should understand that they’re not going to be allowed to cross it.”

If you may recall, three years ago Bolton warned during a Fox News  interview that Israel has 8 days to strike the Bushehr nuclear power facility. After this point, the uranium being supplied by Russia, will be loaded into the reactor.
