Jodi Long talks ‘Sullivan & Son’ season 3, Ok Cha, Steve Byrne and her career
Jodi Long is familiar to audiences as the incredibly funny mother on Sullivan & Son. Jodi took time to discuss her role on the show as the show begins its third season with The Global Dispatch’s Dispatch Radio.
Ok Cha is based on star and creator Steven Byrne’s real life mother and Jodi jokes about nailing the role during the audition process, “She doesn’t look like Mom, but she acts like Mom” said Steve’s brother of her performance.
Co-created by Rob Long of Cheers fame, Byrne brings to life a traditional style of comedy with a live audience and Jodi details how refreshing that can be.
Byrne’s true nature is revealed in a very personal story that Jodi shares which embodies the family atmosphere and relationships on the set of Sullivan & Son.
Jodi is a very talented actress with a lot of great roles to her credit. Brandon and Jodi joke about RoboCop 3 and her role on The Cosby Show, but she does touch on her theater work and what motivates her.
