Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta confirmed for ‘Justice League’

While the DC Cinematic Universe heats up with Wonder Woman and then Justice League, fans got confirmation that a couple of the characters which will return for the JL flick: Jesse Eisenberg and Connie Nielsen.

Eisenberg already made his first appearance as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the film’s ending and teaser points to a return. Nielsen will make her first appearance in Wonder Woman next year as Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons on Themyscira and the mother of Diana Prince. Her return in Justice League also makes sense.

The DC Comics superteam will unite to battle the villain Steppenwolf, reportedly played by Ciaran Hinds in Justice League

Back are  Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash.

Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Diane Lane as Mrs. Kent will be part of the cast with (presumably) Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne. Newcomers are  J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Queen Mera and Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.

Justice League will hit theaters on November 17, 2017. Here’s the official synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
