Jennifer Fichter case detailed: abortion, moved in with student, sex in truck
The State Attorney’s Office released 1,260 pages of documents in Jennifer Fichter’s case Wednesday, including witness and victim statements, and detailed police reports. Fichter is a Florida teacher facing 37 child sex charges after being busted having sex with at least three different students.
The Global Dispatch went through countless pages, discovering Fichter, 29, had sex with a 17-year-old boy in her truck just hours before his mother discovered the affair. The mother agonized over the details, piecing together text messages which were integral for the hookup.
Fichter would pretend to be a female student to not raise suspicion when a mother called her about the son missing curfew and behaving oddly.
The former Central Florida Aerospace Academy teacher accused of kissing and fondling at least one student in the classroom in the fall and by January, the student told police he had sex with Fichter in the back of her truck.
Fichter was having sex with another underage student, who she eventually moved in with once he turned 18. The report states that same 18-year-old took Fichter to get an abortion after she got pregnant by another student.
There are a total of three students Fitcher is accused of having sex with, even though some witnesses think there could be more.
In a phone call recorded by police between one of the victim’s mother and Fichter, the teacher allegedly said she had no regrets because she loved him and wanted to be with him. She reportedly said their relationship became stronger over time, in spite of everything they went through.
Because the incidents took place near the county line, Fichter faces charges in both Hillsborough and Polk counties.
The former English teacher remains behind bars with a bond of more than a half a million dollars.
