Japanese schoolgirl cuts off head of classmate
A minor schoolgirl from Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan was arrested Sunday after admitting to the gruesome murder of a 15-year-old classmate Saturday night.
According to police, the unnamed teen allegedly killed and decapitated 15-year-old Aiwa Matsuo while the victim visited her apartment.
According to reports, the school teenager attacked Matsuo from behind with a blunt instrument Saturday evening around 8 pm. After striking the victim at least 10 times, the alleged perpetrator strangled the girl followed by cutting off her head and left hand.
On Saturday night around 11 pm, Matsuo’s parent became concerned after their daughter had not come home. She had told them earlier that she was going to her friend’s place and texted them at about 7 p.m. to say she was about to leave for home.
Police found Matsuo’s body lying on the suspect’s bed the next morning.
The alleged murderer confessed to the crime telling police, “I did it all by myself.”
