‘Iron Fist’ gets a ‘Strong Bloody Violence’ label in UK as episode titles reveal ‘spoilers’

Netflix’s next Marvel Studios production Iron Fist is coming soon with Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones as the titular hero, a martial arts expert Danny Rand. Now the British Board of Film Classification drops news of a harsh rating, “an 18 certificate on the complete series box set” due to “strong bloody violence.”

Bleeding Cool revealed that most of the episodes have been rated 15 for ‘strong violence’, but there are two exceptions: director Deborah Chow’s episode 11, which gets a 12 certificate, and Farren Blackburn’s episode 7, which is 18 for ‘strong bloody violence.’

Full list of episodes as released is below.

Rand returns to New York City after being missing for 15 years and now must choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as superhero Iron Fist.

Jones is joined by Rosario Dawson and Carrie-Anne Moss, both reprising their roles from the previous Netflix projects. Alongside Jones will be Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, a significant role which will also appear in The Defenders.

David Wenham stars as Harold Meachum, the former business partner of Danny’s late parents. Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey also star in Iron Fist as Joy and Ward Meachum, Harold’s kids and Danny’s childhood acquaintances.

Iron Fist is available for streaming on Netflix March 17, 2017.
