Iowa Steve King says FISA Memogate is ‘deeper than Watergate’ FBI was ‘weaponized’
Democrats appear to love the FBI opposing the GOP’s efforts to release this ambiguous FISA memo from House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes hasn’t even seen the FISA application or fact basis that his document purportedly provides conclusions on.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo immediately began pressing Rep. Steve King (R-IA) on his confidence in the memo and King responded by fanning the flames of corruption.
“How do you judge it when you haven’t seen it?” Cuomo asked King.
“We are going to have to pull all of this out, and that’s one of the things the memo does,” King responded, leading Cuomo to shoot back that King was “already concluding it was wrong.”
“I know what’s wrong,” King confidently states: “Then what I saw and I believe happened could go on in perpetuity, and we become a banana republic. This is earth-shaking, and it does go deeper than Watergate!”
“Deeper than Watergate?!” Cuomo incredulously asked. “How is it deeper than Watergate?!”
Cuomo would go on and note that this “pattern to jumping for a conclusion” from certain Republicans is a “beautiful distraction from” the Russia probe.
King pressed further and says the FBI was “weaponized.”

King has stated this before:
I have read the memo. The sickening reality has set in. I no longer hold out hope there is an innocent explanation for the information the public has seen. I have long said it is worse than Watergate. It was #neverTrump & #alwaysHillary. #releasethememo

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), another Judiciary Committee member, called the memo “deeply troubling” and said it raises questions about the “Obama DOJ and Comey FBI.”
“The classified report compiled by House Intelligence is deeply troubling and raises serious questions about the upper echelon of the Obama DOJ and Comey FBI as it relates to the so-called collusion investigation,” he tweeted.
