‘Intelligence’ star Josh Holloway rumored to be Aquaman in ‘Batman vs Superman’ with ‘Justice League’ filming back-to-back
The rumors continue with little to no confirmation from Warner Bros, Zack Snyder or the creative team pulling the Man of Steel sequel together.
First up is the story that Josh Holloway is being “strongly considered” for a part in the film, with the name of Aquaman being bandied around by Comic Book Movie.
That rumour is questioned by Latino Review who cite scheduling conflicts, but they themselves have an even juicier rumour linking Dwayne Johnson to a cameo in Batman Vs. Superman, leading to a starring role in Justice League.
The site claims that Batman Vs. Superman will end on a huge cliffhanger that will lead directly into Justice League, with the two films set to shoot back to back ahead of a 2016 release for the latter.
Warner Bros doesn’t seem likely to have the components in place for the Justice League to be filming so soon, but a climax revealing Aquaman, Martian Manhunter or other characters is a more realistic surprise for the 2015 film.
Sources have confirmed to The Dispatch that Doomsday will be a part of the film in some way.
The film (Batman vs Superman) is set to arrive in theaters July 17, 2015.
