I’m sure Mike Pence is just trying to keep a good testimony

Poor Mike Pence. The guy tries to do the right and honorable thing by his wife and this culture despises it so much he a harshly ridiculed.

A March 2017 WaPo piece on his wife, Karen stated: In 2002, Mike Pence told the Hill that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won’t attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either.

One tasteless individual on The Daily Dot thought he was clever by saying:

That could be read a lot of ways. Pence could be so horny that he doesn’t believe he can be trusted to be alone with a woman. Pence could be the most whipped man on the face of the Earth.

But it was also rightly read as a knock on women, especially in the workplace. You would literally never read that sentence with Pence talking about a man, and thusly, it is inferred that Mike Pence thinks of women as sexual objects first and humans second.

Really? You got that out his principled stand for his marriage?

Pence, being a professed Christian, clearly believes he should keep his testimony clean and free of the wiles of a wicked world wanting to start dangerous gossip and cause trouble. In addition, he is showing his wife of many years a respect many men may not offer their wives.

I am not surprised that people in 2017 find this unusual, even ridiculous; however, it’s the right thing to do no matter what the foolish masses say.
