Weigh Up Your Options

If you are planning to purchase cover in Australia, then remember to compare pet insurance policies and settle on the most affordable one. There are numerous ways to compare pet insurance providers, you can call a few companies and find out what they offer, or you can do a search online to see what kind of quotes you receive. There are also some useful websites which help people to compare multiple quotes helping them to choose the right policy for their family pet. If you conduct a side by side comparison of several options, you’ll be able to contrast the difference between areas such as:

  • Premiums
  • Plan Details
  • Deductibles
  • Additional Offers
  • Price
  • Complementary Features

Reliability

When choosing an insurance company who specialise in pets, you’ll want a business who are trustworthy and dependable. You must check their background history and assess their track record. Choosing a pet insurance company doesn’t have to be difficult, as long as you evaluate the company you are planning to use. It is important to select a company who has experience in the industry coupled with a solid reputation. Browse through the Internet and try to find businesses who have been recommended to customers on multiple occasions, if they come highly recommended by former or current clients, they must be providing a good standard of service.

Cover Young Pets

It is important to have young pups and kittens enrolled in a policy before they are diagnosed with pre-existing conditions. It makes a huge difference in terms of price, a young pet is fit and healthy, so you won’t have to pay additional rates on their premium. Pet health insurance is much the same as our own, it can rise significantly as we get older. The best way of avoiding this is to get your young pets covered as soon as possible.

Inquire About Discounts

When searching for pet insurance, make some inquiries about promotions and discounts. Some pet insurance providers offer reduced rates if you are a family looking to insure numerous pets. So, if you’ve 2 dogs and 1 cat, you could get a reduction on your premium, some companies offer as much as 10% off your cover depending on how many pets you are getting insured. Some also offer group discounts.

There are several ways to choose the best pet insurance policy for your family, take some time to compare multiple businesses and try to find one that suits your specific needs. If you’ve more than one pet, ask about discounts to see if you can avail of a reduced rate. Pet insurance provides your family with peace of mind.

If you are a pet owner like myself with a pet with a pre-exisiting condition your only option is to go with a plan like Pet Assure. Its similar to Pet Insurance but works based on a discount for all participating vets. Check them out at petassure.com
    – I saved a lot of money with them!
