How Michael Flynn just helped President Trump with his supporters

As the media melts down over the Michael Flynn’s resignation from his role of NSA Adviser to President Trump, the truth is that the Trump administration likely scored points with supporters and voters.

Politico tells readers that you can bet on the impeachment of Trump and Michael Moore leads the calls from the left for Trump to resign and that he’ll be “fired.”

For the Trump voters, a quick cursory search on their cell phone will yield a few facts about this story: 1) Flynn lied about the call with the Russians, 2) the intelligence community may have flexed their muscles, leveraging their transcripts of the call and 3) Trump responded quickly.

One of the biggest positives for Trump during the 2016 campaign was advertising his business acumen. Political backbiting and corruption fueled opposition to Hillary Clinton as Trump voters wanted one thing: ACCOUNTABILITY.

“You’re fired!” may have been a catchphrase from Trump’s time on Celebrity Apprentice, but it is EXACTLY what the Rust Belt voted for. “Drain the Swamp” may be a nonsensical term for most, the message was clear: change Washington and how politics are run.

Some accountability, not matter how slight, is exactly why Flynn’s resignation actually reassured these voters that they did the right thing in voting for Trump.

President Obama ignored “Fast and Furious” and Eric Holder kept his job for years after the scandal. Hillary Clinton and John Podesta kept their jobs despite the brutal murder of Americans in the Benghazi attack.

In fact, Podesta’s incompetence was linked to the “hack” which led to emails being released during the height of the 2016 campaign and Hillary actually had Podesta on her short list to head the State Department.

The hysterics from the left, especially the mainstream TV press, are now unpaid advertisements for Trump 2020 on the streets.

What will be the thoughts of the Trump supporting factory worker in Michigan when they discover that TIME Magazine purposefully portrayed President Trump in a Hitler style pose, with a pair of devil horns, on their Person of Year cover?

Empathy for TIME or regrets of their action in November? Not likely.

How long until the Trump supporter is reminded that President Obama’s campaign sent retired Amb. William Miller to Iran in 2008 “to assure the mullahs that he was a friend of the Islamic Republic, and that they would be very happy with his policies?”

Is that a violation of the Logan Act?

What will be their thoughts on the Flynn situation when they are reminded how President Obama was caught on an open mic in 2012 telling then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that Obama needed President Vladimir Putin to “give me space” on missile defense and other difficult issues and that after the 2012 presidential election he would have “more flexibility.”

The media can’t give the Obama administration cover on the Russians and national security while calling for outrage against the actions of Flynn or the Trump administration.

The Internet is this crazy place where the “fake news” just won’t hold water for the media like it used to. Talk radio and an ease of information means that little energy is needed to recalibrate away from the liberal media hysteria and lies.

Each ridiculous reaction from the press sends the message to the Trump supporter that they did the right thing in 2016.
