Houston police arrest Priscilla Torres for the death of her daughter, Sierra Patino

On Monday afternoon, Houston police were called responded to a person down call at an apartment complex on 7835 Grow Lane and found a female child deceased inside an apartment.


Charges have been filed against 27-year-old Priscilla Torres, the mother of the now identified child, her daughter, 5-year-old Sierra Patino. Torres is charged with tampering with evidence – human corpse and having a role in her child’s death.

She could face additional charges in the ongoing investigation.

Investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine Sierra’s cause of death.
