Houston: Justin Huynh identified as 7-month-old baby found dead in car
Houston police officers are investigating the death of a 7-month-old child found in a hot car outside a business in northwest Houston Friday night.
Identified as Justin Huynh , the baby’s father claims to have forgotten him in the back seat of the car, according to authorities.
The police detailed that the father, 36, had dropped off his other two children at daycare Friday morning then he went to work. He told investigators he had forgotten his 7-month-old son in his car. Justin usually gets dropped off by a babysitter, according to police.
It wasn’t until the baby’s mother called at 7:30 p.m. asking about Justin’s whereabouts that the father rushed to his car. The child was inside since 9:30 that morning.
Officers responded to the 7900 block of Northcourt Road for a child who was not breathing.
Temperatures in the area reached the mid-90s – around 32°C – but inside the car it would have been significantly hotter and very dangerous.
Police are not releasing any further details at this time.
