‘House of Horrors’ abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell gets 30 years in prison for drug charges
Kermit Gosnell has been sentenced to thirty years in prison for illegally dispensing prescription drugs, a charge added to the three consecutive life sentences he is serving as part of his plea bargain to avoid the death penalty.
Back in July, Gosnell pled guilty to “running a prescription drug operation” as part of his “pain management center” where he was openly dispensing OxyCotin, Percocet and Xanax.
According to prosecutors, Gosnell made at least $200,000 in his “pill mill.” Though he pleaded guilty, Gosnell defends his actions, saying “These are hard economic times,” in an interview with Philadelphia Magazine’s Steve Volk. “These people need their pills.”
Gosnell was described as unrepentant in the interview, even saying he was “spiritually innocent” – read more here
Described as a “House of Horrors” Gosnell’s abortion clinic had stained operating tables, unsterlized equipment and was convicted of allowed babies to be born during abortion procedures and then “snipping” them to death.
