House investigation of Planned Parenthood demands release of ALL videos

A conflict has just arisen with Congressional investigation into Planned Parenthood. The US House of Representatives wants ALL the undercover videotapes from the Center for Medical Progress without exception. You can read the details in this document.

This is considered a Constitutional crisis because a Federal Judge in California says selected undercover Center for Medical Progress videos cannot be shared with the US Congress. However, the US Congressional members investigating Planned Parenthood say there is legal precedent that their subpoena for all the videos, with no exceptions is valid.

This the statement from the Center for Medical Progress attorney.

“The National Abortion Federation has gone to extraordinary lengths to keep David Daleiden’s footage of its annual meetings out of the hands of law enforcement and the Congress. Chairman Jason Chaffetz has issued a valid and proper subpoena for this footage, in connection with his committee’s investigation into the trafficking in baby parts by Planned Parenthood and others. There is no legal justification to refuse the subpoena, and we hope to turn over the footage to Congress this Wednesday. We will continue to urge the Court to lift the temporary injunction on David Daleiden and allow him to release this footage to the public, so that the American people can make their own assessment of the practices of Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation.” Peter Breen, Thomas More Society Special Counsel.

Last Friday, a Federal Judge gave the deadline of today at 12 noon Pacific, for the National Abortion Federation to respond to the US Congress request for all undercover videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress of the abortion industry, link to court filing here.
