‘Homeland’ season 3 set to begin production, will be filming in Raliegh North Carolina
Filming of the Emmy Award-winning Showtime original series Homeland will come to downtown Raleigh this week.
Production will film scenes the third season of Homeland on June 3-4. Filming will include the Supreme Court building, Historic North Carolina State Capitol building and grounds.
The Charlotte Observer reports they filmed a scene in their newsroom this week.
The writer noted that: “The extras look just like us!” my co-worker scoffed. “They’re supposed to be a better version of us. Like a Jennifer Aniston-type to play ME. Why can’t we just be the extras?”
There was some star struck newscasters as star Claire Danes filmed her scene.
Starring Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin, Homeland is predominantly filmed in and around Charlotte.
