HHS Sec Kathleen Sebelius confirms Obamacare partnership with NFL, ‘good for them and good for the country’

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Monday she is in talks with the NFL to help promote new insurance options under Obamacare. Sebelius said the football league has been “very actively and enthusiastically engaged” in discussions about a partnership to encourage people to enroll in newly available insurance plans.

“We’re going to be going wherever people are,” Sebelius told reporters. “We’re having discussions — active discussions — right now with a variety of sports affiliates, both in terms of what will end up being paid advertising but hopefully some partnership efforts. The NFL, for instance, in the conversations I’ve had, has been very actively and enthusiastically engaged because they see health promotion as one of the things that is good for them and good for the country.”

Partnerships with sports organizations are especially promising to HHS because the department hopes large numbers of young, healthy men will enroll in the law’s new coverage options.

Attracting young, healthy people will help keep premiums from rising dramatically once the law begins offering new protections for more expensive patients — namely, banning insurance companies from discriminating against people with preexisting conditions.

The NFL wouldn’t confirm Sebelius’ account or offer any information about promotions or advertising related to the health care reform law. “We do not have anything to report at this time,” league spokesman Brian McCarthy wrote in an e-mail to The Huffington Post.

“We have the next couple of months laid out with a very busy and engaged schedule to make sure we’re ready for marketplace enrollment on Oct. 1,” Sebelius said.

Sebelius noted that Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox worked with the Massachusetts government to promote the state’s health care reform law and enrollment outreach campaign in 2007. “We know the Red Sox were incredibly effective in Massachusetts when they rolled out their marketplace coverage, so it’s a logical place to go,” she said.

NOW, BELOW IS AN WRITE-UP WITH THE KENYAN HOLDING A FOOTBALL. I CALL Barack Hussein Obama, “Kenyan,” DUE TO THE FACT THAT I DO NOT BELIEVE HE WAS BORN … Check out more on The Global Dispatch […]

I JUST FINISHED TYPING Global Dispatch commentary ON A “Penis Enlargement” article. NOW, HERE IS AN ARTICLE WITH THE KENYAN HOLDING A FOOTBALL.

I CALL Barack Hussein Obama, “Kenyan,” BECAUSE I DO NOT BELIEVE HE WAS BORN ON AMERICAN SOIL. BUT, I ALSO CALL HIM “Kenyan,” AS AN INTENDED SIGN OF DISRESPECT; Mr. Obama DOES NOT ACT LIKE, A “MAN.”

IN THE NEGRO COMMUNITY, TALKING ABOUT “SOMEBODY’S MAMA” CAN GET YOUR FEELINGS HURT, GET YOU BEAT-UP OR, WORSE. THE PRODUCERS OF THE “Dreams From My Father-” video CLAIM THE KENYAN’S MOTHER [Stanley Ann Dunham] POSED NUDE FOR A NEGRO-MALE PHOTOGRAPHER WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE “Little Barack’s” BIOLOGICAL FATHER [Frank Marshall Davis]. OF COURSE, Global Dispatch HAS AN ARTICLE ABOUT THE KENYAN’S Morehouse College Speech, IN WHICH HE TALKED TO YOUNG NEGRO MALES ON “HOW TO BE A MAN.” [Well, I have never met a black man who would allow such salacious things to be publically said about his mama, with no STRONG RESPONSE].

LIKEWISE, IN THE NEGRO COMMUNITY, IF SOMEONE CALLS YOU “gay,” AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT, YOU WILL GIVE THAT NAME-CALLER A (USUALLY) PROFANITY-LADEN RESPONSE. THE INTERNET IS FILLED WITH COMMENTARY/ARTICLES ABOUT THE KENYAN VISITING “Man’s Country Club” [A MALE HOMOSEXUAL ESTABLISHMENT] IN CHICAGO. AND, MANY ONLINE VENUES CLAIM THE KENYAN ENGAGED IN HOMOSEX WITH Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel AT, “Man’s Country.” [Well, I have never met a black man who would allow his status as an “AFRICAN MAN” be demeaned, with no STRONG RESPONSE].

MY POINT IS, TAKING A PHOTOGRAPH HOLDING A FOOTBALL REPRESENTS MASCULINITY – BUT, “Where is it,” IN THE KENYAN? THE KENYAN IS RARELY SEEN IN PUBLIC WITH First Lady Michelle. SO, I AM WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO TELL ME Barack Hussein Obama “ACTS” LIKE A, black man.

TO SUPPORT MY POINT ABOUT THE CURIOUS ABSENCE OF First Lady Michelle, DURING THE KENYAN’S RECENT VISIT TO GERMANY’S Brandenburg Gate, HE MADE A POINT TO TELL THE CROWD First Lady Michelle AND HIS DAUGHTERS WERE SIGHT-SEEING WHILE HE GAVE HIS SPEECH. [I have seen several speeches of male heads-of-state at official state-gatherings; their wives are ALWAYS by their side]. THE FIRST LADY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN ATTENDANCE AT, Brandenburg Gate.

AGAIN, IN THE NEGRO COMMUNITY, A MALE CAN ONLY “SHOW-UP” TO THE PARTY ONCE OR TWICE WITHOUT A FEMALE ON HIS ARM – OTHERWISE, YOU WILL HEAR WHISPERS, “He’s sweet!”
