Henry Carrar, St Pete man arrested for tampering with AC units, getting high on freon

A St. Petersburg woman called 911 after she noticed some dude hanging out near an AC unit and thought he might have been trying to swipe it for the copper wiring, reports the Tampa Bay Times.

Police discovered that the man, Henry Carrar, age 28, was actually getting high, according to a police report.

Carrar was “huffing” the freon gas from the unit, and about a six other homes previously, when the police arrived.

The man is facing grand theft charges, tampering with about six other air conditioners in the neighborhood and is now being held on $4,000 bond.

Carrar was arrested in March for leaving a scene and driving with a suspended license.
