Healthcare: Free market options are available and growing
Who said health care must be expensive and essentially dominated by the US government and insurance companies? Free market options are out there and this sector is growing as the government-insurance cartel crumbles before our eyes.
On the Outbreak News This Week Radio Show earlier this year, I interviewed two physicians who are providing health care on the free market and attracting more and more health care consumers each day with quality and compassionate care and affordable, market based prices.
In the first interview, Wichita, Kansas family physician, Dr. Josh Umbehr joined me to talk about his Direct Primary Care Clinic, which is essentially a membership service, providing health care at a low cost and exceptional service.
Umbehr talks about how his practice works, services provided and patient and doctor savings. Fascinating stuff you don’t want to miss.

The second interview was with Dr. Keith Smith with the Surgery Center of Oklahoma. The Center has been posting the prices for surgeries online for seven years. Fees for the surgeon, anesthesiologist and facility are all included in one low price. There are no hidden costs, charges or surprises.
Smith discussed the history of the Surgery Center, how his prices compare with hospitals and other issues related to insurance and government.
