Hasbro commits to replace stolen toys from Massachusetts church

Hasbro announced that is donating toys to replace some of those stolen from a Massachusetts church last week.

Officials at a Shrewsbury church say a thief stole thousands of dollars’ worth of presents and gift cards that were meant for the less fortunate this Christmas.

The toys, clothes, boots and other items were stolen sometime Tuesday by a thief or thieves who broke down the door of a storage shed at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic church.

Now Hasbro is working with church officials to match toys to childrens’ wish lists for over 300 kids the church was sponsoring.

Police are investigating the crime, but this Massachusetts is not alone. A church in Pennsylvania also fell victim to thieves who nabbed a few dozen gifts under the church’s tree.

Contact St. Anne’s for information on helping out or making a donation: (508) 757-5154
