Group says Texas abortions motivated by racism, noting 63.1% of the babies were black or Hispanic

Life Dynamics, Inc. a national pro-life organization located in Denton, Texas is responding to a report published by CNS News which shows that 63 percent of the babies aborted in the most recent year on record were black or Hispanic.

The stats come from the CDC Abortion Surveillance  report published on Nov. 23, 2012.  According to the report,  there were 77,152 abortions performed in Texas, 24,457 (or 31.7 percent) were non-Hispanic white babies, 19,152 (or 24.8 percent) were non-Hispanic black babies, 29,576 (or 38.3 percent) were Hispanic babies, and 3,967 (or 5.1 percent) were babies of other races or ethnicities. The combined 48,728 black and Hispanic babies aborted in Texas in 2009 equaled 63.1 percent of the total of 77,152 abortions in the state.

Mark Crutcher, president of Life Dynamics, responds, “This is nothing new for us.  We have documented the eugenic targeting of minorities in our film, Maafa21.  In addition, research we produced for our report, Racial Profiling by Planned Parenthood and the American Abortion Lobby, clearly shows a majority of family planning centers locate their centers in minority communities.”

Crutcher continues, “Maafa21 cites a study conducted by three American university researchers into the criteria used to decide the placement of U.S. population control facilities. Their finding was that the primary consideration in making this determination is not poverty but the percentage of blacks in the area.  Historically, the population control movement’s eugenic efforts have been primarily focused on the African-American community and that was the underlying theme of Maafa 21.  In our most recent research, however, we have seen unmistakable evidence that the family planning establishment is also ratcheting up its efforts to deal with the Hispanic population.”

Abortion has taken center stage in Texas as a ban on abortions after 20 weeks has dominated the headlines.

The group analyzed the data to draw parallels between these two groups of minorities and the location of abortion centers.

The report also found multiple abortion centers in many super-minority populated areas. The New Jersey zip code 07631 has a black population 286.7% of the state’s overall percentage and a Hispanic population 163.9% of the state, and that zip code has four abortion or abortion-referral centers. Minnesota zip code 55404 has a black population that is 797.1% of the overall state percentage and a Hispanic population 537.9% of the state and there are three population control centers there.

“The numbers make it clear that the African-American and Hispanic communities have been targeted and logic makes it clear that this did not happen coincidentally or unintentionally, in Texas or across the nation. ” Crutcher concluded.
