‘Gotham’ season 5: Robin Lord Taylor teases ‘big things’ for the Penguin
With Gotham City on the brink of destruction, the Batman prequel series, Gotham, heads into the final season on Fox and star Robin Lord Taylor teased “big things” for the Penguin.
“Big things in store for our little bird,” Taylor wrote in the post on Instagram.
Filming is set to begin in a couple of weeks with the show’s producers and cast members active on social media. Most of these photos have come from EP Danny Cannon, including a shot of Penguin’s bust, painted on the side of a building.
Previously Cannon posted a pic teasing the return of the Owls, the Court of Owls, which acted as the main antagonists of Gotham‘s third season, trying to pull both Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon over to their side. Some of the enforcers of the Court, also known as Talons, survived the massacre.
In their attempts to convert the heroes, all of the members of the Court were killed, seemingly disbanding the organization.
When fans last saw Oswald Cobblepot in the Gotham Season 4 finale, the city had just been largely evacuated. As riots broke out and looters flooded the streets, Gotham‘s biggest villains took the opportunity to mark their territory, preparing for the new world ahead.
Penguin took over his own territory in the middle of the city.
Check out the new photo below.
Characters like Barbara, Firefly, Mr. Freeze, and others were also seen marking off their own piece of land.
Judging by this photo, it looks like Penguin will be using a personal logo to show rival gangs where his territory begins and ends. Then again, it also looks like he’s preparing to take over the entire city, as soon as he gets the chance.
Gotham‘s fifth and final season is set to air in early 2019 on FOX.
