George W. Bush visit to Seoul draws North Korea reaction: ‘Scum’, ‘Wicked’ are some of the words used
The North Korean state media had no shortage of dramatic language to use in describing the former US President and those he visited on a recent trip to Seoul.
On Monday, George W. Bush visited South Korean President Park Geun-hye and exchanged views on the alliance between the two countries and other issues of mutual interest.
The Yonhap News Agency reports that Park expressed her gratitude to Bush for “all the busy work that you’ve been doing, upholding prosperity around the world even after you stepped down from office and also for your efforts to strengthen our alliance relationship.”
She also said that Seoul and Washington made big progress in their relations while Bush was in office, working closely together over the North Korean nuclear standoff and other issues. It was also when Bush was in office that the sides signed a free trade agreement and the South joined the U.S. visa waiver program, she said.
Bush called the alliance “vital” and is sure Barack Obama thinks the same way.
This drew a radical response from North Korea saying that Bush “met in a dark corner of Seoul with human scum, who defected to the south, leaving genuine society of the North Korea DPRK.
“At the meeting Bush praised the human scum wandering about without any proper shelter as “heroes”. “Moved to tears” by this gesture, these good-for-nothings extolled Bush as “a hero”.
A individual in the North Korean hierarchy said, “Bush was known to be a fool after being scolded in the political circle of the U.S. for his disposition as a rogue, dull political sense and lack of logical vision.
“Wicked Bush vociferated about “human rights records” in the DPRK before the human scum. He was busy letting loose a whole string of reckless remarks slinging mud at Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses, laying bare his true colors as a political under-wit bereft of any elementary knowledge about it.”
The former President was also described as a “wolf-like old man is living on bread crumbs thrown by children at a zoo of the U.S.”
It even prompted the Korean state media to write the words of an army private who reportedly said, “Being a good marksman in my company, I will hunt Bush before any others when a war breaks out.
“I am fully ready to hunt Bush and a military feat belongs to me.”
