Free Speech rally in Tennessee pushes back against DOJ threates to ‘anti-Muslim rhetoric’ on social media
Reacting to reports that the US Department of Justice may prosecute those who write and post articles offensive to Muslims, Pamela Geller of the American Freedom Defense Initiative has vowed, “We will fight you on this every step of the way. We will drag your dhimmi asses all the way to the Supreme Court. This is Sharia enforcement, and we are not going to stand for it.”
Geller, who also co-founded Stop Islamization of Nations (SION) with Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, has endorsed a rally for free speech on June 4 in Manchester, Tennessee, to protest anti-free speech comments by Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
A special meeting has been scheduled for the stated purpose of increasing awareness and understanding that American Muslims are not the terrorists some have made them out to be in social media and other circles.
The “Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society” will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center, 147 Hospitality Blvd.
Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee will be joined by Kenneth Moore, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Knoxville Division, speaking at this event.
Killian and Moore will provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media. (emphasis added – BBJ, The Dispatch)
“This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian told The News Monday. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”
This was instigated by a Facebook posting made by Coffee County Commissioner Barry West that showed a picture of a man pointing a double-barreled shotgun at a camera lens with the caption saying, “How to Wink at a Muslim.” (see below)
Killian said he and Moore had discussed the issue.
“If a Muslim had posted ‘How to Wink at a Christian,’ could you imagine what would have happened?” he said. “We need to educate people about Muslims and their civil rights, and as long as we’re here, they’re going to be protected.”
TENNESSEE IS A CONSERVATIVE-CAUCASIAN STATE. IF YOU ARE NOT CONSERVATIVE AND CAUCASIAN, YOU ARE NOT WELCOMED IN TENNESSEE. BUT, BECAUSE TENNESSEE IS HEADQUARTERS FOR Ku Klux Klan, CAUCASIAN-CONSERVATIVES MUST “BITE THEIR TONGUES” WHEN IT COMES TO CIVIL-RIGHTS FOR COLOREDS.
IN MEMPHIS, Afrocentric black-controlled MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT WANTS TO RE-NAME LOCAL PARKS AND DESTROY A STATUE OF Nathan Bedford Forrest (Founder of the Klan).
MY POINT IS, CAUCASIAN TENNESSEANS TREAT NEGRO TENNESSEANS WITH “KID GLOVES;” YET, THEY PUBLICALLY (AND, FREELY) HOLD BIAS AGAINST ISLAM. EVERY ONE KNOWS CAUCASIANS HOLD THE DEEPEST EMOTIONAL-RESENTMENT TOWARDS NEGROES; OTHER PEOPLE OF COLOR ARE MERE “AFTER-THOUGHTS.” [Remember, Caucasians are the ones who created the slur for Middle-Easterners (“sand n——“); Why use a racial slur originally designed for Negroes – in reference to far-away coloreds – if Negroes are not constantly on Caucasian minds?].

Freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights are non-revokable. However the Government is always trying to twist them into something else. If you need permission, it is no longer a RIGHT, it is a privilege that can be taken away easily. There are no portions of the Bill Of Rights that say “except when we say you can’t”. There ARE portions which forbid the Government from infringing.

This was a waste of time. The public was told there would be a question and answer time. Yeah right. Bill Killian and company just wanted to jam their opinions down our throats and not listen to any responses by the public.
ALL religion is subject to Free Speech. But, it shouldn’t incite violence.
