Beta Theta Pi’s goal is to raise $100,000 in memory of Caroline Previdi, one of the precious children shot dead Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Her father, Jeff Previdi, a 1994 graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia, was a member of the fraternity’s Psi Chapter.

More than $13,000 has been raised since the fund was announced on Monday, Beta Theta Pi’s Director of Communication Martin Cobb told the Daily News.

“We have been so pleased with the response, to be honest,” Cobb said. “It’s been really exciting in the last 48 hours.”

The goal of the fund is to raise money for scholarships to Education majors to “ensure Caroline will be remembered in a positive way.”

Previdi, who is “supportive and enthusiastic” about the fund, according to Cobb, received an outpouring of support from the fraternity.

The young girl’s wake was on Wednesday and she was remembered as a girl who loved to draw and to dance.

“She was happy. She was innocent. She danced everywhere she went,” said Pam Fehrs, her face tear-swollen as she left Saint Rose of Lima Church on Wednesday afternoon.

The woman’s daughters went to ballet and jazz class with Caroline Previdi. Mourners wore pink, not black, to honor the young girl.

“We have a new saint,” Monsignor Robert Weiss declared to a crowd that filled every seat in St. Rose of Lima’s sanctuary and stood two and three deep in every aisle. “She will intercede for us; turn to her,” Weiss told the crowd.

“We have an angel.”
