Focus on the Family doc ‘Irreplaceable’ promotes traditional marriage as God’s design
PRESS RELEASE: Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich was ousted because he supports natural marriage: Some believe this is social bullying, pure and simple. Is it not reasonable for those who support same-sex marriage to extend to us the same level of tolerance they expect from those who believe in traditional marriage?
“Irreplaceable” main message of the film: God’s design for the family works. When we deviate from that design, society suffers. But when we embrace it, society thrives. We look around at our culture and we see too many examples of things that just don’t make sense – things that happen when culture’s perspective is not in line with God’s design.
Focus on the Family president Jim Daly reminds that we have a president who rightly advocates against fatherlessness, but whose policy positions on same-sex marriage would intentionally deny children of either a father or a mother.
“Irreplaceable” conveys the importance of family. The film explores how families work to form and shape us, for better or for worse. It takes a sobering, honest view at the reality too many families nowadays face – the brokenness, the devaluing of marriage and children.
But “Irreplaceable” ends on an inspirational note, because “Irreplaceable” also explores how to solve many of today’s social ills that surround the family, it challenges us to be part of the solution. Many viewers will find that empowering.
