Florida man, Enus Brown, arrested in New Orleans, connected to massive sex trafficking ring
A Florida man was been arrested in connection to a massive child trafficking ring spanning several states.
Enus Brown, age 42, was arrested in New Orleans and charged with human trafficking and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. His arrest followed the prostitution arrests of a woman, 21, and two girls, ages 15 and 16, who were working on Bourbon Street. They said they worked for a pimp who was a Florida native.
Undercover police approached the women and after being offered sex in exchange for money, arrested and booked the women on prostitution and solicitation charges.
Federal agents and members of Louisiana State Police, records show, later interviewed the 21-year-old woman, whose name is being withheld to protect her identity because she claims to be the victim of a sexual assault.
The woman was brought into the New Orleans FBI field office, where she gave agents a horrifying account of physical and verbal abuse which she endured during the past year working with Brown.
Detailed accounts revealed the Brown regularly beat the woman, captured women when they tried to escape and regularly moved them around across states.
Members of the Louisiana State Police and FBI interviewed two teenagers, who said they met Brown through someone they met on Facebook. The teenagers told officers they thought Brown’s name was either “Perk” or “Perp.”
The cities where Brown is suspected of having trafficked women include Milwaukee, Houston, Chicago and Miami.
Brown is being held in lieu of a $450,000 bond.
