“Hillary Clinton has a clear and comprehensive plan to ensure America’s safety and security is at the forefront of her presidency. Today’s domestic and foreign threats require a leader with not only the appropriate experience, but also the necessary temperament to serve as our Commander in Chief. Tonight, I join the calls across our party to unite and support Hillary Clinton to become the next President of the United State,” said U.S. Senator Bill Nelson.

“As a college town mayor supportive of Senator Sanders’ candidacy during the primary season, I saw first-hand the enthusiasm and commitment Bernie Sanders drew from his supporters. It is exciting to see Bernie reaffirm his commitment to helping elect Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States. Hillary Clinton worked with Bernie Sanders to help craft the most progressive platform in the history of the Democratic Party, which includes plans to eliminate college tuition for working families and other key policies to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top,” said Gainesville Mayor Lauren Poe.

“As Senator Sanders highlighted tonight, we must united against the menace that is Donald Trump and his ‘friends’ and ensure Hillary Clinton’s victory on November 8. We must protect the progress made under President Obama and continue to work towards a future that’s inclusive of all Americans, not just those up top,” said Carmen Torres, former Obama Elector, DNC at large member and VP of the Southern Caucus.
