Florida car crash victims identified, Welch family, Antwayne Robinson and Jennifer Zuniga

Three St. Petersburg residents were among five people killed Sunday night in a crash in Arcadia: Lamour Welch, India Welch and 18-year-old Tehira Welch

A 6-year-old boy, Cort Thivierge, survived the crash and is in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital. His mother was identified as Jennifer Zuniga, 30, of Venus, Florida.

Antwayne Robinson, 25, of North Carolina, was identified as the other driver.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 7 p.m. on State Road 70.

Troopers said a Ford F-150 pickup truck going eastbound on State Road 70 hydroplaned, spun and went across the center line and hit the rear side of a Volkswagen Passat being driven by Lamour Welch.

Welch, 29, was killed. India was 24-years-old and Tehira was 18.

The crash remains under investigation, but troopers have confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

According to a post on India Welch’s Facebook page, she and the others in her car attended the Florida Eastern Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Holy Convocation, held last week in Fort Pierce.

Bishop Willie J. Matheney, who oversees the Western Jurisdiction of the Church of Christ in God, said the sisters and Robinson were well respected musicians who performed in the church choir.
