First trailer for ‘Goosebumps 2: Happy Halloween’ reveals the monsters, Slappy’s return but no Jack Black
Fans finally get the official look at the Goosebumps sequel, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, which showcases Halloween coming to alive. The new film, also based on R.L. Stine’s series of books, finally sets up the long rumored film, called Horrorland at one point, Slappy’s Revenge at another.
The new trailer brings to life witches, ghouls, werewolves, and even…gummy bears. Yes, like the gnomes in the first film, the most innocent, silliest creature may turn against you if it escapes the pages of a Stine novel.
The sequel to 2015’s horror-comedy seems to follow a similar premise as a trio of kids discover a book that was never meant to be found titled Haunted Halloween. Once they open it, the various creatures from Stine’s 62 books, which have combined to sell over 400 million copies worldwide, come to life.
