First photos Henry Cavill as Clark, Superman in ‘Dawn of Justice’ as villain rumors grow
Warner Bros. has released the first Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice image of Henry Cavill in costume as Superman and Twitter pic gives fans a look at his Clark Kent. The rumors surrounding the villains to challenge the superheroes continue to grow.
Talking to USA Today about the film, Zack Snyder says he wasn’t in a rush to get Batman back on screen but, “on the other hand it seemed organic the way our story was unfolding to start to feather him in.” He also provided an assurance that there’s no origin story for Batman this time around because audiences are so familiar with the character, plus “”it’s cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys.”
Originally via Facebook/Twitter the costumed Cavill continues to just look great as both Superman and his alter ego Clark Kent. Cavill’s Kent was revealed through a separate tweet to support the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. Check out their twitter page HERE.
The big news of the week is that the film may feature three other villains. According to Latino Review there will be no Joker, no Metallo, but will feature Victor Zsaza: “A serial killer Batman fights early on in Gotham City. He usually kills with just a knife and carves a tally mark somewhere on himself for every victim. A real nasty piece of work.”
There will also be Morgan Edge, the slimy PR guy for LexCorp; David Cain, a Luthor bodyguard and Amanda Waller. She “…a very stern and focused senator with an intimidating presence. She doesn’t trust Superman. At all. Sees him as a threat and comes up with a counter measure…”
Cavill returns as Superman with Ben Affleck set to take over the role as Batman. Gal Gadot (Furious 6) will play Wonder Woman against Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor.
Also cast are Jason Momoa, Scoot McNairy, Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Callan Mulvey, Jeremy Irons, Tao Okamoto and TJ Norris.
