First photos ‘Downton Abbey’ season 4 feature Michelle Dockery, Allen Leech and growing cast
The first pictures of Downton Abbey series four have emerged.
Lady Mary Crawley, played by Michelle Dockery, is seen in one image holding baby George while standing next to Tom Branson (Allen Leech), who is carrying baby Sybil.
The last series ended with Mary giving birth to her son shortly before husband Matthew (Dan Stevens) died in a car crash.
Her brother-in-law Tom lost his wife Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay) last series when she died during childbirth, meaning they are both single parents. Daisy Lewis has been cast as Tom’s new love interest.
Executive Producer Gareth Neame says: “Downton Abbey has seen many great characters visit the house over the years and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome the new faces that will be joining the regular cast of Downton Abbey in Season 4. We hope audiences will be as excited about them as we are.”
Season 4 is expected to begin in September.
