First look Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman in ‘Sherlock’ Christmas special
With their Victorian garb, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman star in the first official photo promoting the upcoming Christmas special of BBC’s Sherlock ahead of the panel at this year’s SDCC.
Deadline noted “The two intrepid detectives appear in Victorian garb, a hint perhaps, that the latest instalment of the ratings juggernaut has an element of time travelling to it. Dressed in traditional tweeds and with Watson sporting a crowbar moustache, the Christmas edition seems to indicate a hark bark to the original time frame of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic books.”

The Sherlock panel at this year’s Comic-Con will include exec producers Steven Moffatt and Sue Vertue with actor Rupert Graves, who portrays Lestrade.
The image from the Christmas special fuel fan excitement ahead of the broadcast later this year and the three new episodes in 2016.
