First look at ‘The Fifth Estate’ with Benedict Cumberbatch as Wikileaks founder Julian Assange
Production gets underway on “The Fifth Estate,” a film diving in the Wikileaks organization and its founder Julian Assange.
Assange will be played by “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch and Dreamworks released the first photo of the star in his blonde lockes.
The film traces the meteoric rise of the site through the eyes of Assange colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg and will be directed by Billy Condon.
The film also stars Laura Linney, Anthony Mackie, David Thewlis, Peter Capaldi (In the Loop), and Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones). Dan Stevens and Alicia Vikander.
The film was previously announced to be called “The Man Who Sold the World” and no release date has been set.
