First ‘Bridge of Spies’ trailer: Cold War drama from Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks
The first poster and trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Cold War drama, Bridge of Spies, has propelled the film onto every “must watch” list. The Jurassic Park director rejoins Tom Hanks on the film and has been kept quiet on details until now.
Hanks stars as James Donovan, a skilled Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who is recruited to negotiate a prisoner exchange between the United States and the Soviet Union in the midst of the Cold War.

Hanks and Spielberg have teamed up for three films: Saving Private Ryan, Terminal, Catch Me If You Can and now Bridge of Spies. The partnership led to Band of Brothers, Hanks’ directional debut, and Pacific, where Spielberg acted as a producer.

Bridge of Spies arrives in theaters on October 15, 2015.
A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, DreamWorks Pictures/Fox 2000 Pictures’ “Bridge of Spies” is the story of James Donovan, a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot.
