‘Fantastic Four’ actress says Josh Trank has ‘clear vision,’ talks practical effects
Fox has reset the Fantastic Four franchise with a new film directed by Josh Trank and a new cast: Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell. Actress Shauna Rappold has a role in the film and details her experience during a new, exclusive interview on Dispatch Radio.
On the Chronicle director, Rappold says Trank has “a clear vision of what he’s after,” noting that the cast is “all very giving” and “supportive.”
While the film will have heavy special effects, especially with Jordan as Human Torch and Bell’s motion capture work to bring Thing to life, Rappold says she experienced “practical effects” with the standard “look her or there.”
Off camera, the “chemistry” was great as they “build relationships to bring everybody up.”
Rappold starts off the interview discussing her role on American Horror Story: Freakshow, praising co-star Neil Patrick Harris as Chester, her deranged war veteran husband who has a puppet named Marjorie.
Shauna praised Patrick Wilson as a “family man, Federal prosecutor…addicted to an escort service” in Zipper and then her experiences on Treme and God’s Not Dead.
Shauna and I talk about Kevin Sorbo a bit, before she talks about her new stage work, two new plays in the Tennessee Williams Festival.
