Fake News: CNN uses incorrect graphic to illustrate bump stock use, includes lies about grenade launchers
On Thursday, CNN continued the mainstream media’s long tradition of demonstrating a complete misunderstanding of guns when it displayed a graphic of an AR-15, and tried to explain how a bump stock worked.
During The Situation Room, the clip showed an AR-15 with a suppressor, which is a heavily regulated National Firearms Act (NFA) item, along with a grenade launcher – civilians cannot purchase grenades. (Emphasis added, The Dispatch)
Check out some footage below.
One graphic did not even include a bump stock on the gun, which was the entire point of the graphic and the segment. Instead, the graphic showed the gun sliding back-and-forth into the butt stock. CNN continued to use the completely inaccurate graphic across their network in multiple segments.
Daily Wire shared a video that accurately shows what a bump stock is and how it functions on a firearm – it’s at the bottom.
Brad Tonkin, a firearms expert and counterterrorism expert, created a video explaining why the animation was “dumb.”
“Yeah. It doesn’t have a bump stock on it. It looks like just an adjustable stock moving in and out that they sped up,” Tonkin said.
Then, he completely broke down how a bump stock works in a brief presentation and the reason CNN didn’t get it right.
For the media and leftists, let’s be clear: this level of fake news shows that you are ONLY anti-gun and could care less about the facts. Scare tactics and false information are okay when demonizing the weapons. Ironically, the NRA and most gun owners are accepting of the ban on bump stocks.
