Ethan Van Sciver talks new Plastic Man project with Gail Simone at MegaCon 2013

While rumors of a Plastic Man project have whirled around DC Universe for quite some time, now artist Ethan Van Sciver confirmed during a panel that project is moving forward.

MegaCon wraps on March 17, but the news of Bedlam, a Plastic Man project which will likely include Swamp Thing and reunite the artist with Gail Simone.

The pair we co-writers on the first few issues of The Fury of Firestorm the Nuclear Man and a tweet on Simone’s account has fueled even more excitement.

“Ethan Van Sciver says he and Gail are working on a hardcover project and Plastic Man is IN it.”

Last year Van Sciver told the audience at the Phoenix Comic Con that the character he was working on was a “lame and embarrassing Silver Age character,” and that the book would take place outside of the New 52 main line.

While there are only slightly vague details, the team doesn’t appear to be teaming up again and Plastic Man is indeed a part of the project.
