Dozen killed, including Pastor and Deacon, in Nigeria Christmas church attacks
At least 12 people died in northern Nigeria when attackers raided two churches during Christmas Eve services, police said.
Deccan Chronicle detailed how Boko Haram terrorists attacked a church in Yobe, killing six people including the pastor, before setting the building ablaze.

“A group of gunmen came into the village at midnight and went straight to the church,” said Usman Mansir to Deccan.
“They opened fire on them, killing the pastor and five worshippers. They then set fire to the church,” he added, specifying that a branch of the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) was targeted.
Worshipers also were attacked at the First Baptist Church in Maiduguri, in Borno state. A deacon and five church members were killed.
More than 770 people have been killed in Boko Haram attacks so far this year, according to an Associated Press count, making 2012 the worst year of violence attributed to the group.
This attack comes on Christmas when Pope Benedict XVI spoke out against the Nigerian violence in his Christmas message of peace and hope.
