DJ Teffler interview: Digital sampling, King of mashups, DC club scene

DJ Teffler is a rising star in Washington DC club, earning him the nickname: “King of Mashups.” Teffler took out some time to talk with Dispatch Radio about his career and growing brand.

By first explaining the mashup, what works on the club scene and how he found his way to digital sampling, DJ Teffler revealed that he’s been traveling to Brazil, Canada, Miami and Los Angeles. His goal as a producer and remixer is to make DJ Teffler a “household name.”

 Working on the fly or taking requests, DJ Teffler pulls back the curtain in this interview, previewing one his favorite new artists and some words of advice on humility and patience. He’s a hardworking young man, traveling a lot, bouncing around from The Park and Josephine’s in DC to clubs in Miami or LA.
