According to pop culture website Punch Drunk Critics, who spoke with him briefly and who took his remarks to mean he was a virtual lock for the film and that the announcement will be his casting.
This week, The Spectacular Now star Teller is appearing at the Sundance Film Festival in support of his new film Whiplash, which was just picked up for distribution by Sony.
“Yeah, that should be coming up in the next few weeks” when asked whether fans will see him starring in director Josh Trank’s film adaptation of Marvel Comics’s famous superhero team.
