Discovery’s ‘Bering Sea Gold’ Returns May 11
The Bering Sea battle heats up as Shawn bets big on a new discovery he hopes will keep him ahead of Ken and his massive dredge. Meanwhile, The Kellys are forced to find new ground and Emily nearly boils a diver alive in the upcoming episode of BERING SEA GOLD, airing Friday, May 11 at its new time 9pm ET/PT on Discovery. With the summer season halfway over and midseason storm blown to the east, these miners are ready to tackle the Bering Sea once again. “Mr. Gold” Shawn Pomrenke tries to stay one step ahead of Ken Kerr and the enormous Myrtle Irene and continues to dredge towards his goal of 1,200 ounces of gold. With his family’s future hanging in the balance and only a tenth of the way there, he’s got his work cut out for him.
The Kellys, after a bit of a rough patch, begrudgingly launch the amphibious Reaper into virgin ground. Could this be a hotspot and will the Kellys beat their last cleanup of 32 ounces? And in pursuit of a 500-ounce season goal, The Eroica captain Emily Riedel is on pace for her best season ever, but she soon realizes her boat is in hot water (literally), which puts everyone, especially the divers, in great danger.
