Director Josh Trank says ‘The Fantastic Four’ origin changes rumored on Internet are false

Over the past several weeks, rumors have increased over the details surrounding the reboot of The Fantastic Four.

Fantastic Four_Ultimate Marvel Comics team photoThe summary, which first came to light a month ago, has Reed Richards and Ben Grimm gaining powers through a freak accident on board Richards’s experimental rocket, and then being joined by Sue and Johnny Storm–a brother/sister duo who already have powers. The complete “false” synopsis is listed below.

Now director Josh Trank turns to twitter to say, no these rumors are false.

Michael B Jordon is rumored to already be cast in the film – unknown what role.

Fox feature film Fantastic Four starring Michael B. Jordan will begin shooting March 24th in Baton Rouge. (Source)

Rumored synopsis: The Fantastic Four will tell the tale of two very young friends, Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. After an event transforms the boys, they find themselves empowered with bizarre new abilities. Reed becomes a scientific genius who can stretch, twist and re-shape his body to inhuman proportions. Ben becomes a monstrous, craggy humanoid with orange, rock-like skin and super-strength. However, the two end up being owned by the government and used as weapons. But after they mature, two others with powers come into the picture – Sue Storm “The Invisible Girl” and Johnny Storm “The Human Torch.”
