‘Dexter’ season 8 trailer focuses on Deb’s destruction as producer confirms Hannah’s role in final season
Showtime’s hit TV series, Dexter, is now only a couple weeks away from kicking off its eight and final installment.
After voluntarily making the decision to have Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski) locked up in Season 7, many fans were surely wondering whether the blonde that made Dexter (Michael C. Hall) soft in season 8. That appearance has now been confirmed.
Executive producer Sara Colleton tells TV Guide about the creative brass’ decision to bring Strahovski’s character back, and also compared her to Dexter’s previous love interest, Luman Pierce (Julia Stiles).
“Most of the other familiar faces he’s disposed of. Hannah brings back a more interesting complication. With Lumen, the act that she needed of revenge, once done, was so burned out that she really couldn’t go on with her life and wouldn’t have a need of Dexter, so it makes less sense for her to come, whereas Hannah has a few issues unresolved with Dexter,” she said.
Showtime’s Dexter is set to make its return on Sunday, June 30.
